Angry GW has made me anti-social!

After playing this game since the early access, I've come to the conclusion that the thing I hate about MMORPGs is having to see hordes of adventurers.
They're usually everywhere, getting into everything, killing everything, doing every quest ahead of and behind me, showing off their level instant kill powers against mobs that I'm trying to fight. They're like ****roaches and I feel as though playing with them reduces me to just another annoying ****roach.

Guild Wars does a good job of making it feel like you and your party are the main characters, meeting up in town and then going out to adventure in a world that isn't already full of other adventurers is where it's at.

Yes, it's what I call "The Importance Factor". It's generally very high in single player RPG games, where you are the star. It's generally very low in MMORPG's, where you're just another adventurer in a land overrun with them. Guild Wars manages to preserve the importance factor while allowing you to play with other people.

Ya I love that feature too, You dont gotta do a quest with a group then get to the destination just to find multiple people doing the same quest and whoring the place.

The lines for camping always dragged! Its about time someone came to the conclusion of making a better game the the average/mediocre ones out there already. Gotta love finding those willing to party beyond towns and knocking a few brains outta skulls while you're at it! No more "whoring" in this game!

Curiousity may kill me but how can something like this make you anti-social? I've got a mic so that makes things easier for my guild and myself but with ample opportunity to speak/type to others and have them talk back makes me think that someone is a little bit of a hermit!

I've made some really good friends who like going with me on every mission. They follow me around everywhere i go and we are building a really strong friendship. It started out with just 4 of us and later on they introduced me to some of their friends and now we all hang out. They don't ever say a word, in fact, they've never said anything but I know the friednship is mutual.

Lol since this is a ranting thread I got 2 primary rants:
1. People who drop out in the middle of a quest or mission. I mean if your gonna start something, finish it!!!!

2. Obnoxious guild members. I have the unfortunate luck of getting an obnoxious guild leader who trys to manage everything. (eg. he said i would have to get permission before creating a web site for our guild..... screw that Ill do one anyways). I dont want to leave the guild cause i like pretty much everyone else and dont want to risk trying to convince people to form a new one and getting kicked out.

well you can join my super awesome guild. we allow anyone to create web sites and you can even roleplay a website builder if you don't know how to create them. we also give out candy on fridays to people that stay in the mission for the entire duration of the mission. so there's good incentive to stay in right there. no worries, my friend, you will get your candy.

Guild Wars has made me lose sleep

I love it so much though, so I don't mind.

But yea, my rant is that all the high level chars never want to go adventuring with lower level people :/

Guild Wars needs to be stopped...since I started playing...all my grades have stayed the same and I'm getting less sleep...so um...yeah...down with guild wars...I forgot where I'm going with this...

Great game Guild Wars is...I like the voice overs in the cinematics with the player names tacked on...it makes me feel super special when my character speaks.
